The Power of Personal Learning
Grow’s MyGuide™ Personal Learning Program empowers a student with content based on his or her FCAT scores. The result is a powerful resource that helps each learner attain competency in the Sunshine State Standards.
Improved Scores, Improved Confidence
In Texas, Governor Perry has stated that the study guide program helped increase passing rates for the state’s Grade 11 students on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) by 19 points.
Students currently using Grow’s study guides often credit the guides for clarifying what is expected of them. As a result, the students feel better prepared to take or retake their tests, demonstrating improved confidence.
What’s in the MyGuide Personal Learning Program?
Each student will receive a printed MyGuide™ based on his or her unique FCAT scores. Each MyGuide contains:
- An overview of the individual FCAT results
- Information to help students understand the Sunshine State Standards
- Content calibrated to the individual’s scores for each FCAT cluster to help that student improve on his or her areas of weakness and build on his or her areas of strength
The Personal Learning Site
The uniquely focused attention continues online with the Personal Learning Site. Students receive a login and password to access the site. Here they’ll find a dynamic learning environment to help them improve their skills. Audio components and clear feedback on the practice problems help struggling students and are especially helpful for English Language Learners.
